A mere child of 12 summers when the Queen and the King were handfasted, Taelithe was chosen to serve the Queen after Pyre discovered in the childe a blood lust that matched her own.  Honoring Taelithe’s family by her position, her father gladly gives the Queen full charge over his youngest daughter.  She would never bring honor to the family in any other way. Her angelic beauty enchanted all who saw her despite the whispered sound of death on her breath.  She was a pale vision in the moonlight, her skin so pale it glowed as her hair changed from light gold to silver depending on the light. She was called Taelithe, the Red Queen's handmaiden and confident and as beautiful as she was she was called the Ice Bitch of her Mistress's... Those who dared whispered tales of the two behind her back, but cross her once was to suffer and suffer long. The handmaiden was as evil to the core as she was beautiful and she knew not the meaning of the word mercy.
